A little rant...
There is a lot of BS banded around in 'wellness'.
It seems to be a constant these days with social media. Social media can be a great source of inspiration but it's easy to forget that it's only a highlight reel of so-called 'perfection'. It is a fact that we all have different lifestyles so it's important to remember that perfection means different things to each one of us.
My idea of perfect will be totally different to yours.
With this in mind when it comes to health and fitness there is never a linear route that we all take. Sometimes we can be really on our A-game - working-out regularly and often, eating well, sleeping well and so on. Other times, to be this en-point simply isn't possible; we have a lot of work on that we need to prioritise over training, we go on holiday, we travel, we have a friend's birthday, we have a sick child etc.
LIFE HAPPENS and when things come up that might not necessarily be in line with your fitness 'goals' we need to be flexible. And we also need to LIVE life and ENJOY it. Life is too short to spend all your time in the gym chasing 'health'. I PROMISE that when it comes to D day and you look back at your life you won't remember that gym session. It will be the amazing memories that stick out and the whole point of health and fitness is so that you function, feel and look your best to enjoy these times to the max.
Take care of your health because you love yourself, want to feel good, thrive for a long time and be strong and fit to experience amazing things that life has to offer. In the words of L'Oreal - I promise you you're worth it!
